Study
A course of study in the Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences is comprised of a broad spectrum of bachelor’s degree programs and associated, specialized master’s degree programs. For the Bachelor of Arts, students choose from the subjects Cultural History, Literature, Linguistics und Comparative Social Sciences; they attend introductory and advanced level classes. In addition, Viadrina offers practically-oriented seminars, an intensive foreign language education and multiple possibilities for studying abroad. The four interdisciplinary master’s degree programs European Cultural History, Intercultural Communication Studies, Socio-cultural Studies and Culture and History of Central and Eastern Europe offer students the ability to subsequently examine the grand questions of cultural sciences in-depth along with acquiring applied specialization.
The courses of study offered by the Faculty of Social and Cultural Sciences are complemented by advanced master’s degree programs and participation in international co-operations.
