Kursbeschreibung:
La figure de l’Europe a connu bien des changements depuis la Renaissance – une princesse phénicienne qui désigne la terre à « l’aspect large », la « grande terre » qu’est l’Europe. Or cette figure constitue une forme d’unification a priori de ce qui menace toujours d’être une pluralité conflictuelle, de par l’existence de différents pays. On étudiera donc durant ce séminaire les différentes images données à l’Europe depuis la Renaissance jusqu’à nos jours, en nous appuyant sur une large variété de représentations : allégories, scènes historiques, cartes, etc.

Teilnahmevoraussetzungen: Französisch-Kenntnisse mindestens Oberstufe für den Besuch des Seminars bzw. Niveau UNIcert® II / B2 GER oder Äquivalent für die Kombination aus Seminar und Sprachkurs (ggf. Einstufung durch das Lektorat Französisch).
Hinweise zur Veranstaltung/zum Blockseminar: Das Seminar wird von einem Sprachkurs des Lektorats Französisch begleitet. Die Kombination aus Seminar und Sprachkurs (4 LVS) gilt als ein Modul der Ausbildung in „Wissenschaftskommunikation Französisch“. (Info/Anmeldung im Portal viaCampus ab 16.09.2019.)

Kursbeschreibung:
The aim of this seminar is to present what constitutes a particularly important path in contemporary human sciences, the study of emotions, in the particular context of the visual arts (painting, sculpture, architecture mainly) in Europe from the Renaissance to the present day. An emphasis will be placed on emotions as one of the fundamental modalities of communication on a personal or collective scale ("to move", alongside "to teach" and "to please") but also as a counterpoint to the essential feature of Western culture since the Renaissance: the rise of rationality, up to the dangerous mixtures of rationality and emotion in the totalitarianism of the 20th century.
