From 2021 The Research College „European Times“ (EUTIMS)
The Research College “European Times” (EUTIM) – a joint project of the European University Viadrina, the University of Potsdam and the Forum Transregionale Studien Berlin – takes a look at narratives of time and space at the edges of Europe. Based on the experiences in the societies of Central and Eastern Europe, concepts of old-new, east-west with their temporal demarcations and localizations are analyzed and examined with regard to dynamics of de-Europeanization and Europeanization. Prof. Dr. Portnov heads subproject 1: "Cultural and Historical Studies".
