Since April 2012 the chair is devoted to cultural studies-based research and teaching of eighteenth to twenty-first century German-Jewish literature and cultural history, as well as exile and migration literature in all German-speaking areas (in Europe and beyond). This focus adds another valuable aspect to the thematic orientation of the faculty of social and cultural studies at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder).
