Dr. Kirsten Möller

At the chair I coordinate the Chiellino Research Team for Literature and Migration. My academic work is concerned with literature and film of the 20th and 21st centuries, with the representation of migration experiences in various media, as well as with gender discourses and questions of memory culture. I teach on these topics on a BA and MA level.
Together with Prof. Schoor I am working on the editing project "Vom Büchermachen im Exil: Die deutsche Abteilung des Amsterdamer Allert de Lange Verlags im Briefwechsel mit ihren Autoren (1933-1940)". In addition, I am the Scientific Coordinator of the DAAD-Admoni-Doctoral School "Literature and Press History in Central European Comparison".
In my doctoral project " Geschlechterbilder im Vertreibungsdiskurs. Auseinandersetzungen in Literatur, Film und Theater nach 1945 in Deutschland und Polen" I analysed literary, cinematic and theatrical confrontations with flight, expulsion and resettlement of Germans and Poles towards the end of World War II. It focused on the question of the narrative structures that characterize the narrative of the loss of homeland and finding of a new home.
