GAL Conference 2015

Arrival

Train

Departing every 30 minutes, the Deutsche Bahn’s regional express train (RE 1) brings you to Frankfurt (Oder) from Berlin Ostbahnhof. The stop “Frankfurt (Oder)” is the closest one to the European University Viadrina. Due to construction works during the conference, there will be no direct train service from Berlin Hauptbahnhof to Frankfurt (Oder). Please use the S-Bahn (line S3, S5, S7, S75) till Ostbahnhof and continue your journey with RE1 till Frankfurt (Oder). There the train service will be provided every 30 minutes.

The train ride from Warsaw lasts a good 4 hours; if you’re departing from Poznan, the EC train goes direct to Frankfurt (Oder) in just under 2 hours.

From the train station (Bahnhof Frankfurt [Oder]), take the #2 street car all the way to the last station “Europa-Universität.” It brings you right in front of the Gräfin-Dönhoff building. If you choose to walk, the Hotel City Park is a 10-minute walk or the Gräfin-Dönhoff building, where the conference will take place, a 15-minute walk. Take a look at this map.

For more information on the train routes or departure times, please visit the DeutscheBahn’s official website here: http://www.bahn.de/p/view/index.shtml.
