International Conference:
1, 2, 3: my Language, your Language, our Language?
Language use in multilingual Spaces.

Starting from a sociolinguistic point of view, this conference will address issues of the current debate on language use in multilingual spaces. Next to the perspective of bi-cultural and bi-lingual language use in the family, other areas of life, where multilingualism and multiculturalism are present, will be discussed. The conference invites researchers to present, discuss and develop their research questions on the following topics:

• linguistics of migration and multilingualism
• contact linguistics and multilingualism
• language acquisition and family
• school and multilingualism

The overarching topic of this international and interdisciplinary conference tries to attract researchers of social sciences and linguistics. During the conference, researchers will have the opportunity to discuss issues of multilingualism, to make contact with international colleagues and to develop new projects. Furthermore, it is the organization team's goal to develop a network of young researchers that focus on multilingualism. Presentations may be held in English or German. A translation service for Russian or Polish contributions may be arranged. It is planned to publish appropriate contributions.
