The goal of this seminar is to analyse the EU policy-making process in a few selected areas, by first considering its general evolution and then focusing on a few important negotiations and measures: The evolution of the institutional architecture and the subsidiarity principle in practice. What is decided at the EU level?; Implementation of EU law. The role of the Court of Justice. Which proportion of national law originates in EU legislation?; The Budget Policy; The Cohesion Policy; Justice and Home Affairs; The External Dimension of the EU Area of Freedom, Security and Justice; Migration and Asylum Policy; Environment, Agriculture and Fisheries; The Trade Negotiations and Agreements with External Partners.
