Study and teaching
General information on teaching
The planning, design and appropriation of spaces in modern and contemporary history are at the centre of this research area. As the professorship holder is also head of the research focus "Contemporary History and Archives" at the Leibniz Institute for Research on Society and Space in Erkner near Berlin, the proximity to sources of architectural, building and planning history as well as to projects with digital history and citizen science approaches is a special feature of the teaching. The inclusion of current research projects in teaching is an important goal of the Professorship.
The portal of the research focus "Contemporary History and Archives" at the Leibniz Centre for Research on Society and Space offers a place to explore history.
You can find information on the courses in ViaCampus and Moodle. Please do not forget to also register in ViaCampus so that we can enter your achievements and grades.

You can register your bachelor's thesis if you have completed at least 75% of the ECTS credits required for the degree (minus the credits for the thesis and the final colloquium), i.e. a total of 126 ECTS credits.
.
Step 1:
The application for admission to the final examination (bachelor's thesis and final colloquium) must be submitted to the responsible examination board.
Step 2:
You can obtain the "routing slip", in which, among other things, the topic, the reviewers and the date of the topic issue - from which the processing time of your bachelor's thesis begins - are named, from the responsible Examination Office.
