"Broken traditions? Jewish Literature, Philosophy and Music in Nazi Germany"

On 4 November 2025, the interdisciplinary doctoral programme "Broken Traditions? Jewish Literature, Philosophy and Music in Nazi Germany" will be officially opened.

The keynote speech will be given by Prof. Dr Dan Diner. Afterwards, Tehila Nini Goldstein (soprano) and Jascha Nemtsov (piano, moderator) will present the concert "On the Wings of Jewish Song: Jewish Music in Times of Persecution".

A joint event organised by the Axel Springer Chair at the European University Viadrina, the Buber Rosenzweig Institute at the Goethe University Frankfurt and the Chair for the History of Jewish Music at the Franz Liszt University of Music Weimar.
