"Security for Europe - peace for Ukraine?"

Europe's security and prospects for peace in Ukraine are at the centre of the kick-off event. What can a just peace look like and what role must Europe play in it? And how can Europe not only contribute to peace in Ukraine, but also strengthen its own security?

75 years after the end of the Second World War, Europe is facing major challenges: The continent's security is under threat and liberal democracy is under pressure from authoritarian movements around the world.

As part of the Europe Forum, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the European University Viadrina want to address the future of the European community: How can we counter the threats ahead of us, how can Europe be strengthened, how can we make the importance of Europe as a peace project and community of values tangible for society again?
